Welcome to my Christmas madness! This was our first Christmas in this house. I was able to incorporate lots of my previously purchased decor, but I found that I didn’t have nearly enough as this house is much bigger than Lake Clark’s. I wanted to purchase more but on a smart budget, so I made a priority list and stuck to it. I must say that I didn’t break my bank, and I ended up loving how our decor brought so much festive to each room.

I decided to put my tree up in the entry so it could be seen right when you walk in and there’s a perfect spot by the staircase to tuck it in. However, my tree was about 3 feet too short for this space and since I just bought it last year, I refused to buy another one so soon so I found the perfect solution….this gorgeous tree stand. It not only lifted my tree three feet, but also allowed me to eliminate using a tree skirt.
Garland for the banister was top of my list. I added it along the stairwell to the upstairs banister railings. I also, created the gallery wall for Christmas (as I try to do every year); you can read more on how to style here. We love mixing metallics, so golds and silvers were mixed all throughout the house this year with tons of greenery. It gave it a fresh, glam vibe.
My son’s playroom upstairs has a small little tree that I let him and his friend decorate themselves. They did so good and had so much fun. It was a fun little activity to get in the spirits. I did accidentally knock the tree completely over so I ended up making some adjustments as several of the ornaments broke (true story, just don’t tell Maddox).
I hate to say goodbye to all of this festive beauty. I just love the holidays so much.
