Welcome to the official 2018 MRI Christmas home tour. This year I wanted our home to feel as if we were submerged in a real-life winter wonderland and with flocked trees and shimmering monochromatic tones all over. I must say it truly feels magical.
My passion for interior design and all things home décor is constantly inspired but other interior designers and influencers. When planning my home for Christmas, I come up with an overall theme before purchasing any new pieces. I love seeing the new decor stores offer as well as other homes and their creativity. This year the theme that instantly came to mind was “winter wonderland”. Rachel Parcell’s holiday home (a couple years ago) inspired me to incorporate three trees in my living room. What else would make our home feel more magical than 3 flocked trees in front of our oversized windows? Honestly, I’m not sure if I could ever go back to just one tree like in 2016 MRI Christmas home tour. This year, and every year for that matter, the small intricate details set the stage and make our house feel so enchanted.
