My love for plantation shutters is at an all time high. We have had our shutters for approximately 3 months now and I am still obsessed. Our rooms completely transformed after getting the shutters. Plantation shutters are more costly than blinds but they make a lasting impact and are always a statement piece. They’re not only attractive, but they also add value to your home (winning).
Picking out shutters can be a real challenge as there are so many options and details to decide on. I went for the more modern look with no divider rail running down the middle; I feel this gives the shutters a completely different look. I also opted for the widest trim at 3.5 inches and a slat of 4.5 inches. I chose bright white throughout the house to give a clean, sharp look. Each shutter opens to allow for easy cleaning of the window itself. The slats tilt to different angles and I also have the option to tilt the top leaving the bottom closed for privacy but allowing sunlight in. Shutters are low maintenance (now you know why I really love them), so you can quickly dust and move on. I have posted a few photos of the shutters in my home. I would love to see yours!
