This transitional home makeover was so much fun! We filled the home with trendy décor and seating for lots of family and friends. The new elements consisted of mixing textures, prints, and blue hues. If you love mixing neutrals and blues as much as I do you are going to love this updated home. This house was a blank slate allowing us to get creative and transform this into my client’s dream home!
Before
We are so happy to reveal this project because it was a major transformation! This not so glamorous and dark home was livened up with fresh paint, lighting fixtures, and décor! It was an amazing sight to watch this home transform into this transitional design for the family to enjoy!
After
Warning you are about to witness an amazing home transformation! Our client’s wanted to make some BIG changes in their new home. We helped them out with a transitional yet timeless style that they could enjoy long term! To start, we painted all of the walls the beautiful, Amazing Gray from Sherwin Williams. New floors really brought this home to life but the fireplace transformation may be my favorite. My client selected a marble mosaic tile to replace the existing black granite. This fireplace built-ins got a simple update by simply painting them white. If you want to see other amazing cabinets we have installed check out this blog post; you will die (not literally, maybe)!
Living Room
New sofas, new table, new light fixtures, you name it! Along with these new beautiful gray sofas, we added blue tones and complementing textures with some gorgeous pillows used as the backs of the sofas.
We also brought in this shimmering grey area rug to tie in with the walls and sofas! The coffee tables are a dark wood, herringbone pattern with black iron legs! They are so gorgeous, and really tied in the new black iron light fixtures and dark wood floors!
These swivel chairs were incorporated into this living room to provide extra seating for this family! The velvet texture and patterned material The chairs are a trendy design for this space and were one of the first pieces we selected.
This gorgeous hand-painted canvas added some heavy texture to the walls, and we think it is the perfect piece of art for this gorgeous, grey toned home!
This circular, iron chandelier was a simple and elegant choice for this room!
Dining Room & Entry Way
This dining room is located by the main entryway of the home. With that being said, we wanted to make a lasting first impression! A new dining room table and chairs, rug, and a few stunning mirrors to top off this room’s fresh coat of paint and new floors.
We added this gorgeous rug to add texture and compliment the living room rug and the home’s neutral tones!

The entryway was kept simple and modern! We didn’t want this area to go unnoticed but we also wanted to accent the beauty of the dining and living room! This gorgeous abstract art brings in gold and blue tones to the walls and looks beautiful against the Amazing Grey paint!
Breakfast Area & Kitchen
This breakfast and dining area got an elegant upgrade! A fresh coat of paint on the kitchen cabinets, new light fixtures, roman shades, and plantation shutters! In this area of their home, they wanted a quiet yet functional area to entertain guests and relax.
We added some stunning chandeliers to give off a timeless vibe and create a show-stopping area!
I love how bright this kitchen became by painting the cabinets white!
