Kitchen stools are fascinating yet tricky creatures. Singularly conveying so much not only about you’re the overall theme of the kitchen, but speaks volumes of your overall design aesthetic. They can be the cause of countless hours of searching and still leave you hunting for the perfect one! Search no more. I am sharing my favorite unique bar stools/counter stools AND revealing which I choose for our kitchen.
At some point are another we all find ourselves in the above searching scenario, and I am no exception. We loved our old bar stools. They were so loved, but so worn; it was hard for me to get rid of them until I knew I had found the perfect and unique bar stool for our home. Let’s start from the beginning: how to decide the right height for your bar or kitchen island? Wanting to make it as easy as possible I put together this chart. All you need is a measuring tape, and it will guide you to the size of stool works best in your space.

Our New Kitchen Stools
With no further ado, I present our new bar stool!! I instantly fell madly in love and not just because they came already assembled!! The lines of the chair lean a bit more modern, but not too modern for our space. The overall seat is a bit over-sized, which makes a huge difference, makes you want to saddle up to the bar…couldn’t help myself. The cushions are a white leather which is the perfect tie in with the living room furniture and not to mention easy to keep clean and you know with my boys that is a must. The arms/legs have a cerused wood appearance which is my current OBSESSION, and the grey tone of the wood pulls the grey out of our counter-top just as I hoped it would. So all in all the perfect bar stool for us!
